Designed for controlled adjustment of tension and assembly length, these heavy-duty turnbuckles are available in
Eye & Eye, Jaw & Eye, and Jaw & Jaw configurations.

Eye & Eye

Closed eyes at both ends for connection with compatible shackles, pins or hardware.

Jaw & Eye

A clevis jaw at one end and a closed eye at the other.
Ideal when different connection types are required at each end.

Jaw & Jaw

Clevis jaws with pins at both ends for secure connections.

Turnbuckle Size & Take-Up

US Type turnbuckle sizes are normally identified by the
thread diameter × take-up length.
For example, a 3/4″ × 12″ turnbuckle has a nominal
3/4″ thread diameter and 12″ take-up.

Before selecting a turnbuckle, consider the connection type,
required adjustment range, load.
In addition, confirm any project-specific certification
requirements before ordering.

1. End Configuration
   Choose Eye & Eye, Jaw & Eye or Jaw & Jaw according to the required attachment points.
2. Thread Diameter
   Select the required nominal turnbuckle size.
3. Take-Up Length
   Determine the adjustment range required for the installation.
4. Working Load Limit (WLL)
   Confirm that the selected size and configuration provide the required Working Load Limit.
5. Certification Requirements
   Advise Heavy Tools of any required certification, inspection or
   project specification before ordering.
