CY panel clamps with hinged hook rings can be used to safely handle panels at different angles. They can lift panels from a horizontal position and place them in a vertical position. The hinged hook ring ensures adequate pressure for gripping in each position, but the load capacity is reduced as shown in the diagram.
The main advantage of CY hinged panel clamps is that longer panels can be lifted or handled using two clamps on a two-leg chain sling, eliminating the need for a spreader bar.
