Heavy Tools facilitates and coordinates third-party inspection, testing, and certification services through qualified independent inspection companies and specialist testing partners. We act as a supplier and inspection coordination provider — not as an independent inspection authority or accredited certifying body.
All inspection, NDT, proof load testing, and certification activities are performed by external third-party inspection specialists in accordance with applicable international standards including ASME B30.9, OSHA 1910.184, and client-specific project requirements — protecting your workforce, your equipment, and your compliance obligations.

Inspection Coordination Services We Offer
We arrange full third-party inspection of wire rope slings through our approved inspection partners — covering broken wires, kinks, bird-caging, crushing, corrosion, core damage, and end fitting integrity. Conducted per ASME B30.9 discard criteria with a written sign-off report issued by the external inspection body.
We coordinate independent inspection of alloy steel chain slings through specialist external partners — assessing link wear, stretch, deformation, cracks, and heat damage across master links, hooks, and connecting hardware. Re-certification is issued by the external inspection company for Grade 80 and Grade 100 slings.
For custom wire rope assemblies and sling fabrications, we facilitate pre-delivery inspection and documentation through approved external inspection companies. Dimensional verification, WLL confirmation, and compliance sign-off documentation is issued by the independent inspection body for your project records.
We coordinate supplier monitoring and vendor inspection through independent external inspection companies, verifying that equipment and materials meet contract requirements before dispatch. Reduces the risk of on-site non-compliance, project delays, and quality disputes at point of use.
NDT, proof load testing, and load rating verification services are performed by qualified external inspection specialists and testing partners using calibrated equipment. A signed test certificate is issued directly by the external testing body for your compliance and project documentation records.
Third-party inspection coordination is available across the entire Heavy Tools product range — shackles, eye bolts, hooks, turnbuckles, hoists, and blocks. We arrange the inspection through our approved external inspection partners on customer request. An additional fee applies.

Wire Rope Sling — Discard Criteria

Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Methods
Arranged through our qualified external NDT partners. Detects surface and near-surface flaws in ferromagnetic materials — particles cluster at discontinuities, revealing cracks and wire breaks not visible to the eye. Reports issued by the external NDT specialist.
Coordinated through specialist external testing partners. High-frequency sound waves detect internal flaws deep within the rope — corrosion, broken wires, and core damage invisible during visual inspection. All testing performed and reported by qualified external UT specialists.
The first line of defence in every inspection programme. Carried out by our approved external inspection partners, trained inspectors identify kinks, bird-caging, crushing, corrosion, and end fitting damage against established discard criteria.
