Description
US Type Electric Galvanized Jaw And Jaw Turnbuckle
The US Type Electric Galvanized Jaw And Jaw Turnbuckle is a heavy-duty
tensioning component designed for controlled adjustment of tension and length
in wire rope, cable, structural bracing and industrial tensioning systems.
It features clevis jaw connections at both ends, providing
secure pin connections to compatible pad eyes, eye bolts and other suitable
attachment points. By rotating the central turnbuckle body, the connected
assembly can be tightened or loosened without rotating the wire rope or cable.
The galvanized finish provides corrosion protection for outdoor, construction
and industrial environments. A wide range of thread diameters and take-up
lengths is available for different load and installation requirements.

Product Construction
The Jaw and Jaw configuration provides a positive pin connection at both ends
of the turnbuckle. This makes it suitable for installations where the
turnbuckle must connect directly to compatible eyes, brackets, pad eyes or
other suitable rigging attachment points.
The open-body design provides access to the threaded sections and allows
controlled adjustment of the assembly. The galvanized surface helps protect
the steel against corrosion during outdoor and industrial service.

Table Units: Weight and Working Load Limit are shown in pounds (lb).
Dimensions A, D, E, G, J, K, M, N and BB are shown in inches.
Note: Specifications and dimensions should be confirmed when ordering,
particularly where installation dimensions are critical.
Load Testing
The turnbuckles are rated according to the Working Load Limits shown in the
specification table.
- Proof Load: 2.5 times the Working Load Limit
- Safety factor: 5:1 Safety factor.
The stated Working Load Limit (WLL) must never be exceeded.
The required size should be selected according to the applied load and the
conditions of the intended installation.
Typical Applications
US Type Galvanized Jaw & Jaw Turnbuckles are commonly used where secure
clevis connections and controlled tension adjustment are required.
- Steel wire rope assemblies
- Wire rope and cable tensioning
- Structural bracing
- Guy wire systems
- Construction applications
- Fencing and barrier systems
- Industrial installations
- Utilities and infrastructure
- General tensioning applications
How to Select the Correct Jaw * Jaw Turnbuckle
Before ordering, confirm the following information:
- Thread Diameter –
Select the required thread size for the application. - Take-Up Length –
Select the required adjustment range, such as 6″, 9″, 12″, 18″ or 24″. - Working Load Limit (WLL) –
Select a turnbuckle with a WLL suitable for the applied load. - Jaw Connection Dimensions –
Check the jaw and pin dimensions against the intended connection point. - Open & Closed Length –
Check J/K and M/N dimensions where installation length is critical. - Application –
Confirm that the installation provides straight or in-line loading. - Quantity –
Provide the required quantity when requesting a quotation.
Important Safety Information
US Type Jaw & Jaw Turnbuckles are recommended for
straight or in-line pull only. Avoid side loading, bending
or other unintended loading conditions.
Never exceed the specified Working Load Limit (WLL).
Before installation, confirm that the selected turnbuckle, connecting
hardware and attachment points are suitable for the intended load and
application.
Before each use, inspect the turnbuckle body, threads, jaw ends, pins and
retaining components. Do not use components showing excessive wear,
deformation, damaged threads, cracks or significant corrosion.
